A1: No, Existing Android Legacy enrolled devices will not be un-enrolled. Current customers that continue to use Android Legacy mode after 31st March 2022 still be able to manage their devices, profiles and apps using Android Legacy.
Howerver, VMware will no longer provide or guarantee support for any device enrolled using Android Legacy, or new devices attempting to enroll using Android Legacy, until they have been migrated to Android Enterprise.
Q2: Will it block new Android Legacy enrollment after 31st March 2022?
A2: Yes, “new customers“ after 31st March 2022 will no longer be able to enroll any devices to Android Legacy mode. For “current customers”, new Android 10+ enrollment must be Android for Enterprise. Current customers can continue managing existing Android Legacy enrolled devices and also enrolling Android 9 or below devices to Android Legacy mode.
