Many of the email client solutions in the market claim themselves a secure solution but Workspace ONE is the only one comes with an certification.
Boxer is the first NIAP and the only NIAP certified mobile email client in the market. It makes a perfect match with NIAP certified Workspace ONE UEM.
Boxer is available on both iOS and Android. This helps IT to standardise mobile email client for their organization. The benefits of having a single email client makes support simplified. This is particularly important on Android as Android does not come with a native email client like iOS. Boxer provides single user experience across iOS and Android. For a IT perspective, there is a very IT friendly feature. Boxer can send out log for user support and troubleshooting purpose.
Boxer and other Workspace ONE productivity apps are all built with the Workspace ONE SDK. This allows Workspace ONE UEM to get Boxer configured over the air. With SSO and Face ID, Boxer is ready to use once a device is enrolled.
Anywhere Workspace is a remote and collaborative world. A mobile collaboration tool is a must to have in order to enable team collaboration. Boxer has been evolving and it is now a Personal Information Tool than just a single purpose email tool. In addition to email management, contacts, calendar and enterprise content are all on user’s fingertips. User does not need to switch among different apps and can have everything managed within Boxer. Now user can Boxer to manage emails, organise meetings and compose documents with Boxer alone.
There are two recently added features to make Boxer a more powerful collaboration tool.
Boxer has recently added multi-account support. Up to three managed email accounts can be setup and this is a handy feature for the assistant use cases.
Shared email account is yet another relatively feature. User can add his shared email account to his boxer as he wants to. Microsoft Exchange allows mailboxes to be shared.
The PIM tool approach not only enhances user experience, productivity but also data security. Boxer containerises all the data in the app sandbox with AES-256 encryption. Together with app and device pin code, whole device encryption, device wipe and DLP protection, Boxer data are fully protected.
Data stored in Boxer is protected. Data Leak Prevention protects Boxer data by regulating how user manipulate the data. Here are some of the popular Boxer protection policies
1. Copy and Paste Protection
Only allow copy and paste among Workspace ONE productivity apps
Only allow copy third party app data into Boxer but not the other way around
2. Open-in Protection
Only allow open-in into a whitelisted apps
3. Screen Capture Protection on Android
4. Watermarking
Overlay text customisation (e.g. username, system date, email address)
5. Open URL links with WSO Browser.
Together with VMware tunnel, we can allow Boxer user click to open an internal website in a secure manner.
Boxer can be managed under both MDM and MAM mode. BYOD user can enroll his device to MAM mode. This often eases the privacy concerns and IT can ensure the same level of security protection is enforced on App level. Device PIN becomes app PIN. Device wipe becomes app wipe and etc.
There are another two features I would like to show you at the end of this post.
